Here at Rose Cottage Natural Therapy we have defined STRESS as:
                         Situations
                         That
                         Rattle
                         Emotions and
                         Sidetrack
                         Sound thinking

Stop and think how you reacted the last time you were stressed. Were you  thrown off balance emotionally? Did you say or do things that you normally wouldn’t  dream of!

When our emotions are out of balance, it causes stress, which effects our outlook on life, our conduct and our relations with others. Stress also weakens the immune system, which explains why we sometimes fall ill following a particularly stressful event.

“Our minds are not separate entities from the rest of us. When we are distressed, our physical health is also affected, and our spirits flag. Many physical conditions are actually rooted in a state of mind, or in a history of stress that has never been balanced. Our personal relationships and work abilities are affected by both physical and mental health issues. Lives can even be endangered when people are stressed, depressed, anxious, or grief-stricken.**”
While it is true that stress is an every day occurrence, it can be increased by a combination of:
    • The situation
    • Your personality, and
    • The way you handle it.

Many authorities are realizing that our emotional well being has a direct impact on our physical well being. This is called the Mind/Body Connection. Therefore, if we can maintain a good emotional health our physical health usually improves.

This could mean a reduction of what have been  recently classified as
“stress-related” illnesses— such as:
      * Increased Blood Pressure
      * Digestive Issues, including ulcers
      * Depression
      * Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
       * Fibromyalgia
      * Headaches

What are Bach Flower Essences and how can they help me deal with stress?
The Bach Flower Essences are natural, non-toxic, botanically-based formulas or remedies that help transform our negative emotions into positive ones, thereby helping us to “change our minds.” This improved emotional state helps us have a better outlook on life and reduces our everyday stress. When our emotional balance is restored, the natural healing functions of our body are free to promote overall wellness. The Essences can set our emotions in balance and help us to handle everyday stress in a much more positive way.
