What are Bach Flower Essences** ?
Bach Flower Essences are homeopathic type remedies made from specific non-toxic flowers and trees. The 38 single essences present a simple, natural method for healing the mind and emotions. Similar to what vitamins and minerals do for our physical health the essences do for our mental/emotional health.
How do the essences work ?
They work on an emotional level to help restore mental and emotional equilibrium when imbalances are caused by undue stress; much the same as listening to soothing music can restore a sense of calm and peace to our minds.
When were they discovered  and  by whom ?
Dr. Edward Bach discovered the 38 individual Flower Essences in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. The individual plants used for the essences were found mostly in his homeland of Wales. Dr. Bach was a medical Doctor, surgeon and homeopath. During his many patient visits he noticed that although people may suffer with the same illness, they all responded differently. When he treated them based on their emotions, he saw excellent results and eventually left his medical practice, treating others with only Bach Flower Essence Remedies.

I’m taking prescription medications. Can I still use Bach ® Flower Essences ?
Although not be used as a substitute of replacement for proper medical care, Bach ® Flower Essences are safe to use in conjunction with other forms of healthcare treatment. The Essences are made from non-toxic flowers and trees. They do not interfere with medications and many times enhance other treatments, as the emotional state of the person improves.
Why should I consider working with a Practitioner?
The benefit of consulting with a Bach Flower Practitioner is their knowledge of and experience with the essences. There are many similarities as well as subtle differences between the essences. Obviously not every subtlety or range can be listed on the individual essence bottles. Having studied the essences and knowing the various emotional ranges for each one, a Practitioner can suggest the best ones for your unique situation. A good Practitioner will educate their clients on the essences so eventually they can make the best selection for themselves.
What should I expect during my Bach Flower Consultation ?
Your Bach Flower consultation will be a private, confidential discussion with a Bach Flower Practitioner. The Bach System is a journey into self discovery, therefore you must be willing and ready to be honest with yourself. The unbalanced human emotions are not always “pretty”, however they are nonetheless human and emotional balance can be restored with the simple, natural Bach Flower Essences. The Practitioner is specially trained to help draw out and clarify the underlying reasons behind the emotions, thereafter suggesting the essences that can restore balance and equilibrium, and to prepare a personal mixture just for you.
